I created a thread asking about what millipede species someone was selling and learned that they are Euryurus leachii. I'm interested purchasing Euryurus leachii (Leech's Train/Flat Back Millipede) but I have a few questions about them.
Can they be kept with other millipedes?
I heard that temps need to be cooler and my room is always on the cool side (high 60's to low 70's), so that shouldn't be a problem.
What hardwood would be good for them? I read that they like to (eat &) hide under it.
How big do they get?
And any other relevant information that you think I should know.
Thank you!

This is one of the relatively few Polydesmids that can reliably be kept and bred in captivity. I found threads about them here on arachnoboards to be very helpful. I’ve had my group for over a year. They easily reproduced for me in a 2 to 3-inch damp, chunky substrate of decomposing hardwood (oak and beech), oak leaves, and moss kept mostly between 65 and 75 degrees F. I also provided lots of bark hides on the surface for molting. Don’t let them dry out. Good luck!

The other thing I’ve found is my flats love moss, also doubles for keeping moisture in their inclosure. Also I’m gonna say no you cannot keep them with others since their toxin is different then the average pede. Sorta how you cant keep newts with fish
