Any Idea Where To Buy Mantids In US?

Any idea where i can get good quality mantids here in the US. id love to have the biggest kind i can get if someone could point out wut kind that is. i believe its that one from Africa. And if sum1 can direct me to good care sheets for mantids cuz iono how hard it would be to keep one

Mantids are nearly impossible to find right now. Last year the USDA cracked down on imports and labelled mantids and millipedes as potential pest species.

They're not hard to find in the US if you know where to look...
I have some P. spurca and H. membranacea I've been trying to trade for a while now.

Where do you live? I know that you might be able to catch some chinese mantids in the summer and then breed them, releasing those you do not want back outside. They get fairly large as mantids go.

yeah, a lot of people wont recommend chinese mantids because they are more vicious than other species, but that is the only kind i have ever kept and they were all wonderful pets. a lot of personality.
