I've got to grips with most of the New Worlders, but as I don't get the chance to see any definitely sexed adult T's I'm always guessing and uncertain of my diagnoses.
This is a 5" Haplopelma sp. "longipedum"
Now my initial thought would be female - dark area which is slightly raised just above the epigiastric furrow, denoting spermathecae?
Am I on the right track?
The only way I'm going to get any good at this is by studying as many "definite" males and females as I can....
