Ants!!!

I have pet ants now apparently too. They live with my rosea. Actually they're everywhere in my apartment, I keep it clean, it's the building. They're just little sugar ants, and I know they can't do any damage to her under normal circumstances, but has anyone had experiences of these little ants hurting a T when she molts?

I'm trying to just scrape off the top surface of soil to get rid of whatever is attracting them, instead of having to change everything out. She's pretty well-situated in there.

there are gnats in there too, but I don't think those are a big deal?

Get her out of there asap! Ants CAN kill and carry your rosea away one tiny piece at a time whether she is molting or not!! It's what ants do. Look up "ants eat gecko" on YouTube, and see what I'm talking about. You can also search this forum on ways to keep ants out of there. I'd elaborate, but I'm posting from a phone at the moment. The gnats aren't really a problem on thier own, but a sure sign you may need to "clean up your tarantula keeping act"!

the gnats and the ants all seem to have disappeared.... not sure what was going on. I promise, I keep my babies clean!! maybe it was a random cricket leg somewhere. It's hard to spot them in the soil.
