Antlions!

I'd never really encountered antlions in the wild (one of my favorite-ever insects) but came across DOZENS of pits today in the front lawn of my new place, I was thrilled. I collected three and have them in a bottle of sand now, one has already dug a pit but there's room in there for the other two to dig their own as well. Their size amazes me, they're barely even visible! How can insects be so TINY?

I fed one an ant five times its size and it easily overpowered it. How often do they need prey? Do they get all the moisture they need that way as well?

I've been giving them 2 small mealworm larvae a day. Food is their main source of water.
