Does anyone have any idea of how to get rid of house ants? We've tries spraying the pantry and calking cracks, but they seem to just keep coming back. We're now considering bug bombs. Any suggestions?

Have you tried diatomaceous earth?

Also, figure out why they are coming in...and correct that.

seconded(if you are ok with poisons...which I think you are if you were considering bug bombs!)

I agree. As with most animals, get rid of the food source and they will go where the food source is. I do it all the time at my house without using insecticides. I would not want to kill off my critters.

Bait products without a doubt. Spraying and bombs will only kill what you see, usually about 6% of the colony. Also depending on the type of ants, spraying could stress them and cause the colony to splinter and before you know it there could be multiple satellite colonies. If they are Odorous House ants or Argentine ants this problem could really magnify. Use multiple baits and be patient. Baits will wipe out the colony and not just the foragers. Good Luck
