Well my supposedly L. neoniger colony has produced its first winged ant in less than a week of captivity so I have a few questions. 1. Can I mate the the males and females from the sam colony? 2. Can I put the females outside in a screen enclosure to attract unrelated maless?(I assume the females give off a scent) 3. What will happen if I mate them with their siblings? Is this bad? 4. WILL they even mate under captive conditions? 5. How and where should I blacklight for related winged ants?

Thank much.

You should know, its a male, and captive breeding is 99% of the time unsuccessfull, just wait for them to fly outside and catch the new queens im expecting 200 this year (same number I captured before). No reason to go to all the work to try and breed them...
