Well, I've added another spider to my collection and I'm pretty sure its another wolf spider but want to make sure. This one quickly webbed up a corner and sits on top of it just waiting for something to come along. He went nutz when I first put him in the container, but I fed him and he's now making it his home. He's about three inches long (legs) right now.

It does look like a wolf spider but a picture of it's eye arrangement would help to confirm it. The fact that it makes a web is rare in wolf spiders. However, you are in Florida and this speices occurs there (Sosippus floridanus):

It's the male in the picture so a female may look different. Let us know what you find out, and try to post a straight on face shot.

The new guy has made a funnel shapped web coming from a small hole he dug. The whole cage has some webbing, but the main web is funnel shapped. When I put his food in there, he was out and back in like lightning as soon as he hit the web!

Well, my new addition has dug a tunnel in the soil. Coming up from this is a tunnel that splits off and he can either run up to the flat area at one fork (his porch) or straight up to the top! It is convenient though to drop his food onto the porch as it sticks there and he very quickly retrieves it and runs back to the main tunnel to feed.
