ok, is there any other way of telling if a wolf spider is a female apart from looking for the epigynum??

the wolf spider that i have at the moment has orange furr near its fangs
(heres a pic of its skin, it shed just 2 days ago)

it now also has orange on the underside of its legs, i dont know if it has anything to do with wether its a female. i would love it if anyone could give me a hand on this!

I don't think that the orange color on the chelicera, or the legs is a definitive characteristic for gender determination. Judging by the size of your spider as it appears in the pics, and its body shape/proportion, I would venture to say that it is a girl, but it is still hard to say. If it is still immature, then it wouldn't do much good, but could you try to get a good picture of its palps?

Either way, Peanut is universal name as far as gender goes. Good choice.
