Another unknown spider found!

I came across this one in the shed last night. At first I thought it was a spiderling but it has quite large palps so must be a mature male.
It's body is about 8-10mm in length and its abdomen is a very shiny brown with a lighter band up the middle (cardiac mark?)

I beleive that to be a steatodid, I think. you're right about it being a mature male. i think it's just a mature male cob web spider.

I was going thru my spider book the other night,making notes of ones I have seen and I had put a question mark next to one spider-and I just had another look and I see its Steatoda punctata!
I'd quite forgotten I'd done it. Looks like I managed to ID a spider correctly,woo hoo :}

nice I have a Steatoda grossa . anyone else seent he eggsacks these make? very cool looking!
