He IS a leader of a creepy cult; the whole Animal Rights movement is part of a cult that tries to deify animals while completely negating the place of human beings to that of a mere parasite, something that doesn't belong.
When I look at him, though, I hear him speaking in voice of Marlon Brando in "The Godfather". When I read or hear first-hand accounts of what happens to the vast majority of animals that HSUS "rescues", I can't help but think of that line from "The Princess Bride"- "Never bet against a Sicilian when death is on the line".

While I am reserving judgment at the moment, that gentleman's bio, (and HSUS itself) reads a lot like Scientology literature. Makes me want to go wash my hands then go out for a few puffs on a Latakia cigar to get some fresh air.
