hi
thanks for helping me ID the last spider, i have been given a new one
again, its either a british or australian species (found in the wrappings from a surf-board from australia)
this spider is just over 2 cm long (including legs) the body is about 5mm
apologies for the bad pictures, its very agressive, so didnt want to take it out of the box for photos

its built a small web-structure and is spending most of its time hanging upside down on it

thanks so much

The markings of S. triangulosa are usually lighter, larger and a bit different and its abdomen is rounded, not oval as in S. grossa. The one on the photo is a very typical S. grossa.
