My first "larger" container. Started as a 5.5g aquarium. Kinda made on the quick with what I could come up with on a Sunday before the football games started. I wish I had some plants but oh well, will work.

Thanks to Robc's vids to help guide me as well as others who have posted on their enclosures.

Made this one for this big girl I got yesterday.

Like I said, its pretty simple with not much time into it. Best I could do without heading into my shop to do the cutting and while helping my kid play Xbox. But I don't think its bad for a simple first one.

I think it looks great! Add a few plants, and you'll be set!

I put a couple plastic aquarium ones in there but they didn't look right. You've been in the stores that I have available to me on a Sunday and there isn't much in the way of plants or wood available. I'll probably order some tonight. ;)

Have a Michaels or other craft store nearby? Heck, even a dollerstore? Most sell fake plants that are way better and cheaper than almost all aquarium/pet fake plants you see for sale. Just stay away from the ones sprayed to smell floral, or any with parts made of paper/cardboard.

Very cool enclosure! Definitely agree, the silk/fabric plants look much better. I have a big multiplant basket that I use as decoration but I cannibalize pieces out of it for my enclosures.

What kind of T is that?

Went to the local dollar store today but didn't see anything plantwise that I cared for.

She is a A. metallica.

Yeah the store selection on a Sunday afternoon isn't the greatest up there lol

You could probably get away with even just adding some moss, or you could try real plants :p

I really like it. If that's your quickie, I'd like to see one you focus on! I'd like to know where to get bark like that. Eventually, I'll get an avic and would like some. BTW...love the triangular level you added :)

Those cork-bark flats

Are available at Petco........Zoo Med I think. $22 - different sizes for aquariums. I got the last one "clearence" for $3.00
I prefer live plants in tall arboreal cages as well, But, watch for mold on that
branch, if you do.

Beautiful job - I am inspired now!

Thanx - Jason
