Its the infamous "petco pinktoe"! The sad thing is ive mentioned mislabeled spiders to a worker once and they said they have to leave it listed that way because thats the way they recieved it.:wall:

EDIT- not saying this person got it from petco, just a "coined term"- but the root cause of ads like this is obvious labeling mistakes by unknowledgable workers selling to equally unknowledgable consumers

No. And that's why I posted my little <EDIT>, which for the record, was "edited" before I posted. Initially, when I looked at the ad, I just read the words and didn't really look at the pictures. So that's why my first thought was, "What's so wrong with it?"

Well the name isnt terrible as they dont mean anything anyways, but i dont think a rosea is arborial, active during the day or a webber. The enclosure was also crap and way to tall for a terrestrial.

The petco in my area has one employee out of the entire store that has any knowledge of Tarantulas. Most of their employees do not want to even go near them to open the enclosures.Seems like they would want employees that have a basic knowledge of what they are supposed to sell, but then again, that would only make sense.

I can't believe he hasn't noticed by now that his 'pink-toe' hasn't webbed yet! I bet he just pulled it out of wikipedia or something.
