An update

I'd actually planned to take a few shots of him eating his first frog but the flash scared him and as you can see he scampered back to his web. He hasn't eaten in over a week. I removed the dead frogs and put in a coupla more after these shots were taken. The next time round I'll let him savour his meal in peace lol.

looks like a male, he might have killed them just cus. one at a time is better specially with the a male. now a female would have gobbled up both but that guy looks like he rather be mating.

Yeah he's a mature male all right. Well I wouldn't say he killed them just for the sake of doing so cause he was clearly "chewing", and let go of the frog only when I'd snapped the pic. How long do mature males usually live?

thats a variable i would say. depends on the sp i would think, maybe even how many times they mate, eat??

I guess so too. Well then this boy should live for a coupla more months since he's only eaten two crickets since I got him three weeks ago. And thanks!
