Does anybody have any experience with ambush bugs (Phymata, phymatidae)?

I'm very seriously considering starting a breeding project for next winter, but there is NO information about these guys on the web that will help me.

I'm going to be keeping them in with fake flowers and feeding them roachlings.

I need to know breeding info and even if they can climb plastic. Nothing is known.

Do you not have access to any? even one just to "experiment" with?
Or do the adults die before winter?

As of present, I don't have access to any. It's late in the season and they're most likely dead by now. I'm going to wait until next summer/early fall when they're all adults and easier to see.

They have kind of the same scheduale as mantids...they only live a year or so but I'm guessing I can keep them in a colony like platymeris if I have the conditions right.

I have done some work with this type http://www.uky.edu/Ag/CritterFiles/casefile/insects/bugs/assassin/ambush.jpg

They can take bugs larger than themselves I saw one nab a honey bee. They can change colors to match the flower they are on. (to a degree) I believe they can climb plastic. As for breeding keep six to eight in a 10 gallon to see what happens. I have a feeling they are cannibalistic but it has been over five years since I last had them. (thats why I recomend the 10 gallon, should be enough space to minimize any hostile encounteres. Fermales are larger than males)
