Hi everyone!

I recently got my first invert pet, an amblypygid from a local reptile shop. Unfortunately, it was only labelled as a "Tailless Whip Scorpion," without a species name. They said it was 4-6 months old and had come from a breeder.
Based on the size and shape of the pedipalps, I'm guessing that it's a member of Phrynus, but I also know that the pedipalps change as they grow.

Any idea which species this is? Any other advice or knowledge about amblypygi is appreciated!

This one is a classic Phrynus whitei. Very easy to keep and great feeding response on these guys. Beautiful animal!

Thank you! Is there anything special I should know about this species?
I've read that they're a particular hardy species, but also a bit more reserved than others.

Very hardy and forgives many mistakes. It's a tropical species, so will appreciate humidity and some warm temperatures (but it's ok with room temp as well).
As long as it had a vertical surface to sit on and molt from, you should be fine.
