Ah well, I would have picked it up regardless because it's so rare to see these in pet stores, but still kinda disappointed since I've never managed to find a Damon sp. Thanks for the help.You'd be correct, this is Phrynus whitei.
I am not sure but I think they often have red spots there instead of white when mature. Plus I'm sure I've seen other invertebrates with the species name whitei, so I'm guessing it's just someone's name?i have zero experience with amblypygi...
is it just coincidence that P. whitei has... white spots around its eyes?
while that is much more likely to be the case, it isn't as funnyit's just someone's name?
