Before he molted I was pretty sure he was a damon medius - but he's now about 2 weeks post molt and he looks nothing like what he looked like before; he's speckled and doesn't have stripey legs anymore.. this is the first time he's molted with me so I'm not sure what to expect in terms of appearance changes

Recent pic of him and a pic of his molt for reference 😊

What are the humidity levels? Damon medius come from swampy regions and do much better if the substrate is soaked(like dripping wet, to the point where the substrate is almost submerged)

His humidity is good don't worry 😊
if you’re relying on a hygrometer to tell you the air humidity, I strongly recommend ignoring it and instead paying attention to ventilation and substrate moisture levels. Hygrometers are notoriously inaccurate, and without wet substrate, the humidity levels in the enclosure will be unstable. We see hundreds of dead Damon medius here because their enclosures were kept too dry.

Thank you for the advice! Seriously though my little guy is good, had him for over a year and he's been doing well the whole time :) his humidity is well monitored & maintained at all times :D

They’re tough animals, Damon will take a beating if sufficiently fed and watered. Not saying he’s unhappy with you, clearly he’s getting along fine, though I do agree with the others he’d probably appreciate a bit more moisture.
