Am I a hobbyist yet?

Well, after doing a couple of months of research and learning, I have just came home with two new Ts. A Panama Red Rump (Sericopelma rubronitens) and a Burmese Brown (Chilobrachys sp.) picked up from the Tye Dyed Iguana and housed in acrylic cages from tarantulacages.com. The Panama Red Rump is missing a leg, but it looks like it is properly sealed off at the trochanter, so I don't think it a big deal.

I don't know if you are one but hey, if it walks like a hobbyist (carrying 2 new Ts) and it talks like a hobbyist (using big words like trochanter in the proper context) then maybe it's a hobbyist :) Nice looking Ts.

...

You've got a chilobrachys andersoni right there. I have an 8 inch female.

Heavy webbers and I've been told they burrow but mine doesn't.

Keep it moist and humid because these are a tropical species.

Thanks for the species name, and I plan on keeping it moist. He/she has already started webbing the crap out of the cage. I know in a few days I won't hardly be able to see the spider. Also, I payed attention to see if either of them made any attempt to burrow in the store I bought them in, and they had not. I will keep an eye on them and adjust if necessary. These are my second and third tarantulas so I am rather excited.{D
