My broher just gave me a 24 toed kitten(in all), he got it from his freind. WHY in the crap did he give me a kitten, he knows I hate cats! However, this kitten is cool it has 6 frikken toes how cool is that!?! And because it has 6 toes I will not hate it, for it is not a cat. It is a diffrent species, it's a polydactyl there for I cannot hate it. it's not a cat, it's not even a kitten. So I won't hate it.

It's paws are so cool.

Keep an eye on those extra toes - sometimes get trouble with ingrown claws.

Ugly? Those extra toes are awsome, the kitten would have been thrown outside if it wasn't fr those extra toes! It's so cute how its paws are SO big.

Ahem, it is not a cat, it is a polydactyle or something like that. Cats don't have 6 toes. therefor it cannot be a cat. If it didn't have those extra toes it would have been thrown away some place. So hes lucky lol. {D

Beautiful kittens! Is that dark tabby one a Maine Coon? It sure looks like one, with the face and the ear tufts. I've had a couple of Maine Coons, one a retired show cat and the other I raised from a kitten. Both had serious health issues, though, which caused them to end up being euthanized. The old guy had severe epileptic seizures which eventually couldn't be controlled by medication, and they would cause him to self-mutilate. The younger one developed diabetes at the age of juist three years, and wouldn't tolerate insulin injections. His kidneys eventually began to fail. He was the only cat I've had that I'd call a "problem cat"-VERY predatory with other cats and puppies, and really bad about chewing up furniture. He was also HUGE, Springer Spaniel-sized, and could get an attitude really quick! That's just like having a lynx or something in your house.
My polydactyl I have is just a blue-and-white "mutt" cat, whose pregnant momma(also a polydactyl-it is a dominant gene)I rescued from a taped-shut cardboard box in a dumpster. He is a big clumsy cat, but his head doesn't "go" with the rest of him; it is a little pointy, snipy-nosed head that looks more like the head of a ferret than a cat!

My piont was I hate cats. However this one is the next link in the evolution chart or something like that. So this kitten I don't hate, in fact it's pretty cool. Except of course, when it decides to claw me to death when I'm sleeping on the couch. Before it got its claw stuck in my eyelid. Apparently it wanted to swat my eye for blinking. Ah well, I got back at it when giving her a flee bath. she didn't like that too much, serves her right.

They look like a drowned rat wahen completely wet. LoL It's amazing how skinny they really are! {D

Sorry hon... a polydactyl is simply a CAT with extra toes!! F-E-L-I-N-E!! ;P

I got one too, they rock!!
Not really. I saw a news report the other day on it, they are two types of polydactyl. Ones simply has extra toes most the time on only one foot(Basically a deformity, or birth deffect).
The other one is supposivley the next link in the evolutionary chart, it has exactly 6 toes on both front paws(not a deformity, but instead an evolutionary trait) and scientist believe that soon (within a few decades)all cats will have this feature.

My little polytten, (polydactyl kitten) does not have a deformitty, but a trait. My brother got this Polytten from his freind. His cat had ALL polyttens, not a single one of them had no less than 6 toes on both front paws. The back legs had 5 toes. All of the polyttens toe wise, were Identicle.

So technically cats will soon become EXTINCT! And become reborn in a new more advance species of polydactyl! BWUAHaHaHa!!!!!

Yep, they've been working on opposable thumbs since they figured out that it was much easier to open doors that way ;)

I wonder, sinse they are getting apposable thumbs, I wonder if they're on their way to becoming primates? Kinda wierd. Its like they ACTUALLY have thumbs. I wonder if that means we'll all be evolving into cats? {D Maybe not.
