I was wondering if anyone can help me identify the sex of my Asian forest scorpion. Its either a heterometrus spinifer or a heterometrus petersii. These are the two most common sold here where I live.
By the shape of the pectines I believe it might be a male, but I was never good at sexing my animals.

Thanks for any help

You took a very clear great pic and it is definitely male as the pectines are large and genital operculum is split (male) not fused (female). ;)

You will know if its male a H.petersii as it will have a enlarged tooth near the base of the moveable finger on its chela. Below the first pic is of a female H.petersii chela, the second pic is of a male H.petersii chela.
