African Fat-Tailed Gecko

Just last night I got an African Fat-Tailed Gecko, and though I've done research on them previously, nothing really is stated about using the heat lamp during the night. My best friend had an iguana and for the most part didn't have a night heating lamp, but was just wondering if I should for my newest little pet.
