Hey there. I'm looking at several ideas for an exotic pet for my apartment next year. I've been a fish keeper( wit reptiles and amphibians on the side) for 8 years now. Decided to take a break from fish. The rules of my living conditions prevent any venomous inverts (of any degree), feeder crickets, and feeder roaches(with hissers included). Was looking into giant African bullfrogs as a possibility. wondering if i could sustain these guys on earthworms and thawed bait fish with occasional live platies and a bimonthly pinky. Any keepers with input on this? i posted this on frog forum but haven't gotten any definet answer. if these aren't viable, could i tong feed frozen insects?

Worms are perfect if your frog eats them, fish should be good too as long as they aren't goldfish (which are high in thiaminase and can therefore cause vitamin b deficiency).

As above. Not only goldfish though but a lot of fish have thiamine in. So do your research. Whole fish will be best.

I used to feed my bullfrog primarily on dubia roaches and morio worms with the occasional rat and chick.
