I have E. chopardi, E. distanti and E. posticus, but cannot get them to breed strongly. (My other colonies are pumping the babies out!)

If you have had any success with these species, please let me know the best way to keep them and any other tips you may have.

Ta! :D

E distanti I don't think breed as fast as other, but E prosticus breeds very fast. Make sure to keep them very warm 88-98F and fed well with moisture (apples, carrots) dry cat and dog food and they should start going for you.

Well to be honest the dwarfs have never been one of my best breeders. I keep them all the same and they do OK but no great. Prosticus have always been fast breeders just keep them very warm and well fed. Not sure what your goal is but there are much better roach species like dubia, discoids, lateralis and lobsters that breed much faster that distanti and dwarfs.

Thanks, guys!

I do have dubia, lobs and lats, (but no discoids), but got a small colony of the others a while back, and I'd like to get them moving...to their potential, y'know?

BTW I'm having a dickens of a time telling the difference between my E. posticus and E. distanti. They're both orange headed with black spots on the head, but I'm baffled..! :? {D
