I have a 10 gallon tank with 5 blue death feigning beetles. I’ll soon be getting a 20 gallon tank and would like to move my guys in there and add some friends.

I think any other teneb would get along with the BDFBs and Ive read that velvet ants and desert scorpions are also good tankmates for them. Im wondering if y’all have views on those or suggestions for other possible additions.

Also, how many beetles/other inverts can I put in a 20 gallon tank without overcrowding them?

Thanks!

You can keep tons of darkling beetles or velvet ants. I personally recommend eleodes armada and diabolical ironclad beetles. I’m not really sure exactly how many can fit in that size tank. I recommend putting air plants. I kept a tillandsia ionantha in a dune scorpion tank.
