Activly Hunting Mantid

Just dropped a cricket in my mantid cage and it ran after it and just mauled it, is this normal I though they were ambush eaters? Mabey i left it to long in between feeds?? :worship:

Yeah its quite normal when a mantis is hungry. Some speices live their life like this, hungry or not, which makes them very fun to watch! Have fun!

yea very normal!! what the best thing to do is to get a crix on a pin put it to the very end off the pin and put it infront off the mantis the mantis will strick realy fast and it is sooooo cool!!!! ;P (try not to spike ur mantis with the pin )
