Answered Active Member Color Change- Why??

I think the green "badge" people had on their avatar for Active Member was an EXCELLENT use of color, and contrasted ie, stood out, from the tans/browns of this board's default theme I use.

Why was the badge color changed from a nice GREEN to a color that blends in w/the board theme and thus is barely noticed? What's wrong with using color???? UGH

Does this mean the other banners, such as my lovely blue Arachnosupporter is going to turn to a barely noticeable tan too???

I wondered about that too. Of course, my fave colours are khaki, brown, tan, taupe, army green.... so I liked the new banner colour too -- just... also wondered why.

(edited to add: gave you a rainbow above, not so much for optimism (but that would be okay too!) but for some colour -- seemed fitting. lol)

I like color, humans are literally wired for color! That Green was super! I thought it was needed IMO. The new banner color, and its font just blends so easily that it's an after thought IMO =(

I'm not adverse to changing it again, but with there already being a green arachnosupporter color, I felt it was too similar.

Oh I didn't know there was a green Arachnosupporter color. A color that stands out, but is bright, that way it's easily noticeable. I don't know the exact palette you have, but I'll use the the Text Colors to help you. Mind you I have bolded the test. I'll admit Green was my favorite hah.

Let's see...SO far I like the second choice I put below.

It's more of a "teal" (my wedding color btw) than a blue. Still open to suggestions. Needs to be sufficiently different from colors currently in use though.

The purple is too close to an existing banner color. And the bright green would be awful because it would contrast poorly against the default light color background of the Scrubland theme.
