Does anyone know if this species of moth over winters? I've been feeding the larvae birch and cherry leaves and now autumn is coming the food supply is going to become non existant! Can the pupae be over wintered? If so how? Can they be kept in the fridge? Or is it the eggs that over winter?

Thanks

Dave

Keep them cool, but not freezing, and see what happens. It might be possible to get them through that way. The larvae will happily eat Rhododendron, which is evergreen, so if you have any of that nearby you should be ok no matter when the moths emerge.
