Actias luna (Luna moth)

I just found this a few minutes ago. I love finding these moths....it doesn't happen often enough. Luckily I had my camera with me tonight. The flash really blew out the white on the head though.

Ooo pretty! I adore Luna moths, its sad they're becoming so rare around here anymore from all of the pesticide usage. I only saw one all of last year. =(

Lunas are badass man! it is too bad we see them so infrequently. I always see one or two a year on my screen door. I bet that bats just have a hay day when they take flight!
