How big is you akie? What i recoment is making a mud mixture of sand and pepples and mud and sunbake ( bulb) until hard and crusty then he can build one himself
any good bonding dirt is good. try and avoid organics. we used stuff from organic carrot farms, good dirt. as deep as you can. i personally would not consider less than 12" deep
