i have a tiny curly sling who is currently completely sealed off in a burrow. Checked on it today, and the top of the substrate in the jar is MOLDY! That in itself is frustrating, because I thought I could avoid that by nukin the substrate before using it. But now, i am unsure what to do. If the sling is sealed off, possibly premolt, should I wait or should I dig it out, and change all substrate now... Thanks, these little guys are frustrating.

Hey Rapunzel.
I'd try to remove the top layer of the substrate at least. If you think the s'ling hasn't begun molting, I'd do a complete substrate change. You may want to try misting a little less. It seems that perhaps for the amount of moisture you're giving it, there's not enough air circulation to prevent stagnation. Maybe mist just enough for the moisture to dissipate in a day or 2. Personally, I mist my slings with less water, but more frequently. I think this will keep the cycle fresher for the T. :) Good luck with the little guy.
