Hello everyone.

About two weeks ago, i have purchased a Neoholothele Incei adult female at an expo. She molted about a week ago, and currently she is feeling well and working on her humble abode. The same can't be said for my mom, who is quite paranoid that she might escape, or worse, that i was sold a female that already mated and she might have babies somewhere down the line.

I feel like that would be unlikely, as it would be bad for business to sell breeding females, but i would like to calm some of my mom's fears. The main questions i have are:
What is the possibility of buying a breeding female at an expo by accident?
What to do in case the female does end up being gravid and producing an egg sac?

All answers are appreciated (even the ones that will confirm my mom's worries)!

Attached below are pictures of Muriel :)

Ratmosphere’s statement about a “viable egg sac” is important. In case she ever makes a phantom egg sac, meaning she puts eggs in a sac and wraps it up, without the sperm, they aren’t fertilized, so no babies.

In any case, they are not supposed to be fertile.

the fact she molted, means no eggs were fertilised.

in any case you just remove the sac and thats it. your house will not be swarming with tiny slings in 24 hours after she would lay the sac.

she is very lovely and very plump.

As others have mentioned, no viable sac will be produced after a molt.

From the small part of it I can see in the photos, you might need help setting up her enclosure appropriately. If you'd like feedback, you can post photos of the full enclosure.

Welcome!
