I got bit while trying to scoop her out of her container, and munch. it was on my index finger, only one fang got in and they was definate vemon injected. i dont know how much as this is the first time ive been bitten. my finger is the only thing swollen and a little tough to move. no pain at all, it was more funny then it was painfull. getting bit just makes me less scared of this sp. I know for a fact it wasnt a dry bite.

Ill update later

Just got tagged for the first time ever by a large sub-adult genic (new animal to the shop that I knew was flightly and a flicker.) Tried to pinch-grab it to sex it, and it flipped in my fingers and nailed my left thumb right on the first joint.

She got me with both fangs, venom for sure (was pooling out of the wound.) The pain was immediate and shooting from the mechanical puncture, but quickly subsided. The thumb is warm to the touch and very mildly swollen, but confined to the digit. I do have a sharp pain if I bend the thumb, not sure if that's from the venom or the puncture being on a joint. Will update as needed.

T+2 - pain and warmth have faded from the thumb, joint slightly sore, punctures sore to touch but not otherwise. This could've been a lot worse.

T+20 - nearly a day after the bite, my hand started itching like CRAZY. Topical benadryl cream relieved the itch in about 15 minutes. There is otherwise no pain, but a lingering stiffness in the joint.
