Here's a picture of my Acanthoscurria geniculata female with her egg sac, she just finished earlier today. My famale is 5.5" inches big so that can give everyone an idea how big her egg sac is. Earlier in the year I posted my Acanthoscurria broklehursti female with her egg sac, babies are coming. My C. fasciatum egg sac was no good, I believe the male never bred with her cause he got hurt in the process and dont beleive he did the job. My I. hirsutum egg sac went bad I know that was a good sac at one point. Well this is what has happen this year so far with me. I have more that I have bred but waiting results......... Good luck to you all that are trying to breed arachnids.......

Nice, I plan on breeding this species myself in a few years. ;)

If you haven't already you should post a breeding report, not many people have bothered to post one for this species unfortunately. :(

How long from insertion to Eggsack?

I mated mine last month and then quickly sold MM.....They bred first night for 2 1/2 hours straight I SWEAR!!!
Without unhooking!
I watched uncomfortably on carpet floor............One of my greatest T moments so far!
That was 9-04-09
When I mated again about a week later....It wasn't even 100 seconds!

She TRICKED HIM! Tryed to grapple him and eat......He AMAZINGLY escaped!

And RAN ...................She ran after HIM!!!!!!!! Out of rubbermaid and almost 18" away from container.....WOW!!!

I SOLD him - He was great with this 7" Girl............Waitin' like the MOVIE now

It was in the summer when I mated mine so that can kind of give you an idea. When I bread my A. geniculata back in 2004 she was only 5" big and had over 800 babies only three eggs were bad.....

They can breed at 5in?!? I was told that the female should be at least 7in....that means that my female could already breed....

That's amazing!!! I was told that I should wait until my female is close to 7in before I should try breeding her, I guess that now I can do it anytime I want to now. :D

Many tarantulas can breed at 4" inches so yeah breed yours when you can just make sure you feed the hell out her....... before you put the male in. they love to eat the male right after breeding sometimes right after the first palp goes in.

If there is any babies, they will most likely be ready in January of 2010 my A. broklehursti female laid her eggs back on July 26 2009 and they're not ready yet. That's almost 3 months.... I do not want to put a price on them yet until I see babies.
