Sounds like a purpurea, was it a pale blue with stripes on its abdomen when it was little as well?

That is definitely not a versi. Only thing in the avic genus that has purple like that is the purpurea as far as i am aware.

Purpureas are worth almost 2x as much as versis, so Id say you got over either way you look at it!

Well it could be either Avicularia purpurea or a Avicularia sp. peru purple. My vote would lean towards Avicularia purpurea. I think it would be best to have a pic that was a little more clear but in general there seems to be some yellow banding on the joints of Avicularia sp. peru purple that Im not seeing in this pic. Also I think the coloration is a little lighter on the Avicularia sp. peru purple.

That's definitely A. purpurea. 'Peru Purples' have a more violet/blue color, imo.

I agree but im usually hesitent to it is definitly one species or another when:
1. pic is slightly blury
2. Its from the genus Avicularia

I'd rather say I think something is this species and be wrong then tell someone I know it is this species and be wrong.
