Not too long ago, my family bought a rural property on Kangaroo Island here in South Australia. We've been camping there for a while and not too far from our tent, we discovered a goanna burrow. On bright, sunny days, he (or perhaps she) climbs out and basks in the sunlight.
It's doubtful that this lizard has seen too many people before in it's life. It was very nervous of us at first and would disappear down it's burrow at the first sign of human movement. Gradually, it's getting used to us and on one occasion, was out of it's burrow all day as we observed it from several meters away. I managed to get some footage which I split into short clips. In the third clip, you can see it yawning!

Edit: I am sure that I posted this in 'Not So Spineless Wonders' but for some reason, it ended up here. Ive already re-typed it over there so moderators, you can delete this post.
