A question..

With the talk on Stromatopelma and Heteroscodra Ts being some of the hotter species, it has got me wondering..



Why does everyone focus on Poecilotheria when it comes to hot spiders? Someone mentions they want a pokie and there's almost always someone speaking up with the usual "Be careful of their bites" thing.

So why doesn't anyone ever mention the other "hot" species?

Yeah, I was kind of thinking maybe it's just because most people love the way Pokies look and tend to want them a lot more right off the bat.


I honestly don't know anything about stromatopelma (I'm sure I've seen them, but I'm sure I couldn't tell yuo what any look like) but I know I've always wanted a Togo. I think they look incredible.



Maybe it's just not as widely known? I certainly had no idea they had fairly nasty bites.


But then, I've heard Usumbaras do and almost no one says much against them.

Well my guess would be that your right about the looks of a pokey. Im getting a pokey and an obt i a couple of days just for the looks and thinking about adding an H.Maculata to the list I have read warnings on all 3 spec. being hot hot hot But the looks are worth the risk :? And since we pay for our hospitals over the taxes it won't hurt my economy getting tagged a couple times a month :} :?
