Brief story...
A bud and I decided we wanted to go watch the fireworks from Monks Mound in Collinsville, I told my friend about how interested in spiders I am.. and how I have heard you can spot spiders at night by seeing a flashlight's reflection off of their eyes. Interestingly, as SOON as I said this, he spotted one that way. First reaction from him was "oh my gosh is it poisonous?", to which I answered "No, but she is mildly venomous". I told him then it was obviously a wolf spider, because she was carrying her young on her back, and went on about the eye pattern of this species, and managed to get her on my hand. I pulled out my camera and took some shots that, after a little bit of cropping, turned out really well...
That made my night.. one arachnophobe down..
