A. Manatrix Sling Feeding

I was initially worried about feeding this little one, because I didn't have a smaller enclosure for it. Turned out to be one of the easiest slings to feed 🤣

Remove lid with spider inside. Place lid on top of roach. After spider catches roach, wait for spider to climb back up on lid. Return lid to enclosure. 🤣🤣🤣

Thought I would share in case anyone else finds the experience useful.

This particular feeding took approx 2 minutes, and didn't have to worry about the roach escaping into the substrate where I wouldn't be able to easily tell if it got caught or not.

Nothing more adorable than a Avic sling.
That’s pretty cool. If you put your cork at an angle and add a wee bit of foliage, your sling will be able to make web tunnels in them.

I put it vertical because my c. versicolor seems to prefer wedding vertically between the edge of the enclosure and something else. Or in the corners of the enclosure.

Figured the minatrix may have similar preferences. It likes to hang out in the gap behind the bark and the edge of the container when it's not out looking for food, and it has been webbing back there.

It's hard to see, but you can see the gap a bit in the first picture.

I did have a small plastic plant that was meant to go in the open space in front of the bark, but the base of it was too wide, and it didn't quite fit. So I gave it to the a. anax and ordered something else for the minatrix. It has since arrived and been added :) I'll get an updated picture later when I'm home. At work at the moment.
