I wanted to let the moms incubate their eggs, but I was a bit worried when we moved earlier this month. Then we started construction on the new reptile rooms and spider room in the basement. With all the noise and vibrations, I was once again thinking I was going to lose at least one eggsac. Luckily they are still clinging to their prizes. Plus it is now time for them to start having slings emerge. Here are the first of to "hatch." P. fasciata!

Congrats!

On a side note: I really need to stop reading the announcements pages and the classifieds because I've put a temporary stop to acquiring more tarantulas (1. it's already cold in WI and I don't want to risk it and 2. money) and doing so makes me just want to get so many!

But again, congrats!

Beautiful! The mom doesn't seem too thrilled for the family portrait though. :D Hope you encounter similar good fortune with your other sacs!
