A goanna makes a quick getaway

Recently, I got some footage of a Rosenbergs Goanna racing back to its burrow. Their speed never ceases to amaze me.

I should add that I set up the video camera at the entrance of the burrow early one morning. I put it on record, walked away and in my absence, hoped that i got something on tape. When I returned, I saw that there was a goanna completely out of the burrow. I didn't want to scare it. I would have preferred to leave the lizard in peace but I had to collect the camera as my family and I were just about to leave to go to our beach house. So basically the goanna was fleeing from me though I guess it does make interesting footage.
