Although i joined a while ago, this is my first post :) so i thought i'd post a few pictures of my B.Smithi, which i named The Night Crawler, or Tnc for short :D. Sorry about the poor quality of pictures, im still trying to learn how to use the camera properly :). This is my first tarantula, and im hoping to collect many more (although my mother has only just got over me having this one! tehehe.) Im hoping to get a C.c sometime. Anyway i also have a couple questions..they may seem like silly questions to some of you Tarantula experts lol..but i'd like to know for the future:
Around what size should i decide to move my B.Smithi into a larger tank? (a photo below shows the tub its in at the moment.)
And.. At what stage will i be able to tell the sex of him/her?
Thanks, heres the pics..

A picture taken before the last molt.

After the molt.

Tnc's Molted Skins.

Just another pic.

Tnc's Home.

Sorry thats quite a few pics, maybe i should just link to them in future. Thanks for looking and im pretty sure im going to enjoy spending a lot of time on the arachnoboards :D .

In the tank you should have a hide and a water dish...just water in the dish....keep the substrate on the dry side...

Thanks very much, i will sure make those changes, i asked from the shop i bought Tnc from if i needed to add anything but they said there wasnt, so im glad i have some people to talk to that know what their on about on here lol. :D At the moment i have just been spraying the lid of his tub with water when it needs it and he tends to crawl on the lid sometimes so im thinking i definitely should be adding that water dish in to make it less work for him :) hehe.

Update: I have now added a water dish and hide, those camera film cases always come in good use :D

Just another note...smithies generally like things dry....a water dish is just fine...

Welcome to the boards and your first exerience at posting. My B. smithi sling has grown into a beautiful T. They are a joy to watch change into thier adult colors and get more colorful with each molt. I'm sure it will lead to many moreTs for you. This is a great hobby.

How big is she? I am bad at sexing so i send my molts to a dealer. I was told that 2-3 inches is good for molt sexing.
