Opened my door and this huge grey cat runs right onto my patio. She did not take no for an answer and quickly laid down and fell asleep. Im like WTH? So i gave her food and water, shes pretty fat. The tips of her ears seem to be burn off or bitten off or something, not too sure. Shes very friendly but seems to be content sleeping behind a couch i put on my enclosed patio. Im not too sure what to do about her. I dont want to throw her out on the street but i also dont want her in my house. I guess just leave her be and crack the door and let her leave when she pleases? I opened the door earlier and she gave me this look like "yea.... right". Shes probably the laziest cat i have ever seen. We had to scoot the food bowl over to her before she would get up and eat. Kinda like "you expect me to walk ALL the way over there for food? PUH-LEASE!!!". Im not too sure what to think about this. I have never had anything forcefully move in lol.

This is what cats do.
It's how they became domesticated in the first place.
They chose to live with people ... people did not capture and tame them.
You have been chosen:rolleyes:
Good luck!

Two of the best cats I had were strays. They just decided we were their new keepers. One of our strays Sarina (fluffy female calico) was very territorial about our backyard and would constantly be fighting with other cats to keep them out. Except for one big orange male that she let in. She would let him eat her food and clean him. They were both neutered. Poor little orange kitty was so friendly but looked like he was abused maybe. He had clipped ears and no pads on his feet like maybe he got burned. He was so sweet though and it was cute that my cat found a buddy.
I miss those cats. I now have two very spoiled indoor kitties. :)

My aunt has a new barn cat she adopted (or it adopted her). It comes in and sleeps with her every night.

We live on the second floor and next doors cat has recently been getting through our window, so we fed it a few times and it came back a few more.

Recently she jumped in through the window and foolishly woke our american bulldog :wall: needless to say, Nancy was not too happy about this intrusion and the cat hotfooted it back out the window, and hasnt come back since!

That's how we got our two kitties we have now. They both showed up right around the same time, meowing at our door. They were way too cute (a grey female and an orange male) so we kept them. And they are now fixed and happy little family members :) We named them Dina and Orion

Good luck with your kitty, your going to get attached eventually I'm sure :)
