Sorry for being inactive. Been busy lately, preparing for my out of town work in June. I needed to sell a lot of my pets in the process. Will get them all back once i return.

Before selling magpie's other siblings off, i needed to take some vital measurements and physical check-up first just for the record :D

Here's magpie's younger siblings; Robin, Jay & Cardinal (cardy's shy :p)

Roughly 6 inches high from talons to ear tufts :D

My new temporary personal fave, Cardy (short for cardinal)

An eye for an eye

Guess who's lunch for today?! (and yes, this is payback for the chick lol)
I'll be skipping the gory part since i still love snakes! :p

Bye cute little owls! I'll see your new replacements by September :(

And magpie is like, 'Aw hell no!' :p

Wil123, there are people who keep Coral Snakes in captivity. The only reason you don't see more venomous keepers with them is because of their specialized diet; they are pretty much exclusively snake eaters. If you have a steady supply of small feeder snakes, problem solved. A lot of Coral Snake keepers I know get non-eating baby Corns from breeders. Keep in mind that Tongue Flicker is not in the US, and the laws are different with regards to keeping or selling animals that aren't "traditional" pets. Here in the US you can own and sell owl species that are not native to North America; I have a friend who has a pair of Eurasian Eagle Owls, perfectly legal. Many of us here have animals which, in the opinions of the "average" person, are "something a zoo would have", including tarantulas.

iv never herd that about coral snakes eating only snakes but the reason I asked about the owls is because I was hoping I could wind up with them.

Hedgehogs eat snakes?
Yep. Long as the snakes may look like, but they are only as thick as pencils. One snake could provide one of my adult hedgies a day's worth of food and moisture. Some of my hedgehogs are wild by the way.

The owls, i just sold off. My dad has an aviary of them back in the Middle-east.
The coralsnakes are more of a rescue. They are Asiatic coralsnakes and have just the same nasty venom as American corals. Native and deadly as they are here, mine are more of rescues from rural villages and drop-offs by rich people who ecounter them in golf courses and clubhouses.
