26 gallon bowfront inhabitant

im wanting to know what lizard species that is not a gecko. I'm thinking a desert collard or alligator lizard.

Not sure it'd be large enough for either of those. A swift would be good, as would one of the smaller skinks (rainbow or sandfish?). Keep in mind these will all need UV/UVB light.

I am going to go with steppe runners, looks like a mini tegu and my only pet store p*tco has them, and I can't buy them online

Why did you asterisk out Petco? Also, do you have any previous experience with reptiles? If so, how long have you been keeping?

What's wrong with geckos? Is it because that bow front doesn't have a secure lid?

That is it and I really like the steppe runner, also that is on e of the lizards that is at Petco. I don't have any previous experience, so this will be my first reptile. I have kept amphibians so I hope that works out. I will make a screen kid somehow
