A rubber boa would be perfectly comfortable in a 10 gallon. You'll probably end up wanting more after you get your first, though. =D

Some milksnakes, such as Nelson's and Sinolean's, only get about 3 feet. They also just coil up and burrow all day and aren't very active (sorta like some Ts in my opinion.) If you get a small one to start with, you could keep it in a 10 gallon for atleast a year. A 20 gallon long would fit an adult well. Rough green snakes don't get very big either and make better display snakes compared to milksnakes.

blue stripe? im jealous...i have trouble finding garters online
Yep, I caught him in my back yard, they are so easy, they eat anything. The first feeding I fed him a sagrei, bam ,no problem. Now I buy frozen minnows thaw them out and just put in a bowl, eats like a dog.
I saw a bigger one about a month later and just left him alone. I have to start posting some pics , I have never
posted pics so I gotta figure it out.

An african house snake would be another potential tennant for a 10 gallon. I have one of mine in a 10 gallon.
