...is a whole different (almost nonexistent) thing so all we can really do is guess what is going on. To me, it doesn't look like a "pop-able" cyst, more like a solid mass that's not part of the exo. Otherwise it wouldn't have looked so fleshy when she was freshly moulted (tarantula meat is an...
Hope he has better luck 🍀 than my debacle with a t stirmi . Years ago , I got a small refund but should been total. :(
rip it didn’t live long with that massive cyst .
Don't think so. This popped up in the matter of a day. When the t was still soft post molt, it was clear to me that the blister is filled with fluid, likely lymph.
Possibly a cyst , some people had success and some people (me) had failure dealing with these. Not sure if any new information ℹ️ has came out yet for treatment on these .. .. ☹️ let’s see if anyone else knows ..?
The top pic looked like a leak to me, but the bottom doesn’t. I have to agree with Ultum4spiderz, maybe a cyst or healed over injury. If (s)he’s moving around, it may not be bothering her/him. You may have it in there already, but make sure she has a water dish.
Looks like some sort of cyst or healed up injury and they molt on their backs usually so nope not molting … useful info ℹ️ here;

Hard to tell exactly what it is. The colour is similar to that of oxygenated hemolymph so it might've torn or injured it somehow. Could also be a cyst of some kind.
Whatever it is, don't worry about it. If it is actively bleeding or otherwise causes an issue to the spider, it will self-amputate...
Yeah tough luck 🍀 although any I’ve gotten here were as advertised. You can never be too sure I did get one with a tumor/cyst once.. :sad: , I prefer raising slings anways.
Hmm maybe I’ll get some someday , if I have more spiders then I do now or if I ever get another t stirmi (rip af who had a cyst.). I got no clue how my current colony’s populations will grow so until one fails two is probable fine. Only got 11 Ts and at-least one looks male .. so number just...
Most Ts, like all critters, have sizes that fit on a bell curve. Most will be average, some will be smaller, while some as well will be those giant LP Godzillas folks brags about. My mum has this obsession with LPs and has been raising tons and their slings since the 80s. I spent my youth seeing...
I used to do things like write essays about the animals I wanted to bring home to show my parents that I was well informed and prepared and interested in being the best parent I can be.
But I have found that the best surprises and experiences come from making the most of it. I suggest bringing...
...really not as large as popular care sheets and rumors of them being 10”+ .. my biggest one right now is only 5-6”. I had one 7-8” but it got a cyst or something from sub being too rough . So I had to throw out all that dirt , because apparently watering the dirt exposed harsher grit . I’ve...
...it . Read how many years back it was lol.. :sad: . every other escape I found , only one injured was t stirmi that was sold time with a huge cyst .. long thread on it rip . It’s Died from the cyst itself not the fall which it survived. I’ll probably get another some day my cages are far...
...around here hah. Thanks a lot...rather the OP should thank you.
Looks like an injury that healed up at some point. I can't be sure. IF it is a "cyst", all one can do is monitor and feed less as I did w/my AF emilia, took a few molts to heal up completely. I'd love for someone to a have dead...
I lost an older lp and a t stirmi to a cyst but the latter was sold to me sickly and managed to escape that’s what did it in . The lp I had No clue it had a cyst was on it’s underneath . They can survive this so don’t panic like dks.
