...had no idea anyway or was intentionally misleading if he was selling that 2nd T as a 'cobalt blue'...). For example, your 'Brazilian whiteknee' (a common name often used for the species acanthoscurria geniculata) is a vitalus chromatus; both species are from Brazil & have white markings on...
Good news that’s not a cobalt blue , post pictures here I’ll try an identity it I know what it most likely is .

...husbandry for them. An opportunity came up where someone was moving and needed to get rid of 2 tarantulas. One happened to be brazilian whiteknee which interested me. He ended up offering both for very cheap so I went ahead with it. Here's the catch though, the 2nd one is claimed to be a...
Please use latin names, english names are confusing and cause misunderstandings.
Check out the beginner’s guide @darkness975 posted. It’s very useful and plenty of helpful info for beginners.

Hi all. Just restarted with inverts having lost my amazonian sapphire sling last year. Now have brazilian blonde, curly hair and whiteknee slings. Only had them a week. Hoping I can grow them all to adult.
What the hell is a Brazilian whiteknee bird-eater? That is the most ridiculous common name.
Do you actually mean Acanthoscurria geniculata? Please use scientific names common names mean nothing.
...something from kitchen, then at the top of the wall by the terrariums near the ceiling was a spider, and happily it was my baby Brazilian whiteknee bird eater, so now he or she is back in where the T belongs, thank you for your help and support 😀

OWs for me too, literally addicted to em. I still think I want to keep a few species of NW though, definitely some Brachys and maybe a Xenesthis once I have the space.
Off topic: anyone know which T species cohabitates with spotted hummer frogs? That would be a really cool enclosure to see...
...most females are expected to reach.
Although I'm concentrating on old worlds from now until the future, I think I will always have a whiteknee, everyone needs one in their collection when they've freshly molted they are stunning, they regularly get past 7" and can hit 8" now and then, hit...
...me a expensive enclosure Thats dangerous for my T.
Yeah Will definetly never listen to him again feel scammed. Even told him that i had a whiteknee. I appreciate your help so much you probably just saved my T
Dont mean To bother you but this is my old enclosure that my T was in 2 weeks...
Pet stores are terrible at advice , the good news you can use this enclosure for a tree spider . It’s a death trap for a terrestrial, I’d go buy a clear plastic shoebox enclosure and drill holes in it until you can find a glass or acrylic cage .
This is a BAD enclosure, A Genic is a terrestrial T, an enclosure with more height than length is for aboreals not terrestrials. Also it’s massivley oversized for your T. Get a plastic tub and make holes in the lid for air, coco fibre for soil, maybe a hide and a water dish (empty milk top & put...
