Full disclosure, Troi and I became pretty well acquainted prior to this transaction because of our similar approach to husbandry and our mutual interest in Asian species.
I became aware of a female P. ornata available in our mutual state and I reached out to Troi. We had been discussing another transaction in the future and I mentioned I would be willing to do a straight trade for the ornata should he acquire it and be willing to part with her. One thing led to another and I straight purchased her a few weeks later, after a molt and a meal (which we agreed to delay shipping for).
When I picked up the box from FedEx, I was quite stunned to see that he also included a 2.5" 0.1 Lampropelma nigerrimum as a freebie. I'm usually not a fan of freebies as I'm very particular about what species I want to work with, but Troi knew these were on my list and I must say that surprise made my week.
When I got home and started the unpack, I was extremely impressed with how they were packed (I'm pretty upset with myself that I didn't take pictures lol). The box temped at 78 degrees when opened. The tarantulas themselves were individually packaged and labeled with their latin names, sex, and their two prior molt dates. The deli cups were secured with electrical tape that was folded back on itself at either end to make extremely convenient pull tabs. Inside the deli cups, the paper towel nests were very well made and easily supported a large, heavy top plug to prevent the tarantula from pushing out of the top when the deli was opened as well as a comfortable cubby hole for the spider. The paper towels themselves were just slightly damp. I took notes on this method as I wish to mirror it going forward as it made the process of unpacking so much easier. It's been a few weeks now and both lovely ladies have settled in well and resumed feeding within 48 hours (they probably would have ate sooner if I had attempted).
In the future, I won't hesitate to do another transaction with Troi and in fact I'm eagerly looking forward to it. The level of care he gives to his collection and his dedication to the hobby is evident in his approach to shipping and the healthy animals he provides.
i posted a want to buy ad and very shortly after received a PM from Troi saying he had one of the spiders i was looking for (a penultimate male B. vagans). He told me what he wanted for it, gave me a link to his reviews and even a picture of the most recent molt for sex verification.
Price was great and he was able to ship it the very next day (we spoke late evening). The spider arrived very well packed and appears to be in perfect health. I will happily work with Troi in the future and highly reccomend him.
Great packaging, Healthy Tarantulas, Good Prices, and overall a pretty good guy.

Just got the N. Chromatus sling and A. Geniculata, both are my first tarantulas and I’m quite happy with them. Both came in well packaged and both healthy. Will definitely buy at least 5 or 6 other species in the future once i have a nice stand for the whole collection.
Excellent communication
Excellent packaging

Up until Troi, I had only ever purchased tarantulas from Jamie's, whom I love dearly but can be a little expensive, so I was a little nervous about purchasing from a private hobbist, but Troi was so kind and communicative; he walked me through the entire process and kept me updated at every turn.
When the T arrived, she was expertly packed in her deli cup, which was nicely nestled between small heat packs, and she crawled right out and into her enclosure. Troi was also beyond generous in including some slings that I had yet to add to my collection (that were also excellently packed).
All in all, I couldn't have asked for a better first time experience with someone selling Ts on arachnoboards, and I will most definitely be purchasing from him again in the future!
Communication was great, shipped and packed fast, and perfectly healthy T.
Contacted troi through messages once I saw he had an MM D. pentaloris. Communication was quick and transaction went smoothly. Shipped out Monday and received the T Tuesday. Would definitely purchase from him again.

Had to diligently go through packing material to make sure i got it all....not really a con though.
Communication was top notch, packing could have been shook and not displaced a single thing. Inverts are in great condition, shipping right on time with tracking number. Troi was nice enough to put up with my constant messages and just a stand up dealer. Buy here.
Troi purchased t from me in pass, payment was fast and doesn’t waste your time.
I inquired about one of his female ts for sale as usual comunication was fast and on point. I received my package today his packing is skill is very professional and really care about the ts He’s sending out. His pricing is great too!! Stand up guy to deal with and would definetly do another transaction in the future. Know that you’re in good hand when dealing with Troi. Highly recommended

I received 3x beautiful spiders! Suspect female juvie M. balfouri, suspect male juvie M. balfouri and a free N. chromatus sling. To my surprise, the chromatus was much larger than advertised (1/2") at 1+". These spiders are beautiful and healthy! Packing was great and shipping was swift. Communication was constant. I won't hesitate to purchase from/do business with again! Thank you sooooo much!

I traded a handful of my slings for an OBT pair, G. pulchripes male, and a bunch of roaches from Troi. It took a while for us to find a time in both of our schedules that we could meet up, but it was well worth it. He is a super nice guy, and I look forward to more dealings with him in the future!
Great communication, Awesome prices and a all around good guy!
Troi was awesome to deal with. He had great prices and even threw in a freebie! To top things off it was a local pickup and he met me over halfway to make the pick up. Both T's were in great condition and he even rehoused my Versicolor into a nice enclosure the day before the pick up. I would recommend buying from him to anyone, and I will definitely be making more purchases in the future. Thanks Troi!
Troi was cool enough to drive all the way to my place from Chicago. All the spiders he gave me were big, beautiful, and healthy. He even gave me his awesome enclosures AND a freebie. It was a great experience and I'm already looking forward to our next trade!
